The Keeper: Symbolic Cosmic Cat Artwork
I created The Keeper for Every Caturday, an event organized by Poetic Tiger Gallery, where the piece is now available. This work comes from my interest in protecting what cannot be seen, those internal spaces that define who we are. I’ve always been drawn to the idea that we carry more than what is visible: memories, emotions, fragments of identity that shape the way we move through the world.
With this piece, I wanted to give form to that invisible weight, and to the quiet act of holding and protecting it.
About The Keeper
In The Keeper, I depict a cosmic cat as a guardian between worlds. For me, the cat represents intuition, independence, and a deep awareness of the invisible, something that moves between the physical and the emotional.
The house on its back symbolizes identity, memory, and emotional weight. I see home not as a fixed place, but as something we carry with us, shaped by our experiences and personal history.
The moon in the background introduces a cyclical and subconscious layer, reflecting inner rhythms, transformation, and the idea that our internal world is always shifting, even when it feels still.
Symbolism in The Keeper
Cosmic cat: Guardian, intuition, perception of the invisible
House on the back: Identity, memory, emotional responsibility
Moon. Cycles, subconscious, inner transformation
These elements come together as a symbolic language through which I explore what we protect and what we choose to carry.
The Keeper is a contemporary symbolic artwork where I combine figurative imagery with introspective meaning. It reflects on emotional responsibility and the idea that home is something to care for, not simply possess.
